The Fast of Shiva Asar b'Tammuz will take place on Tuesday, June 29th. The Fast begins at 3:15 A.M. and is over at 9:00 P.M. This day commemorates the beginning of the siege of Jerusalem, which culminated in the city's fall three weeks later, on Tisha B'Av. It is fitting and proper that all healthy adults fast on this day.
