JordanWithPeachesThe Adams Street Shul invites the entire Jewish community of Greater Boston to our fourth annual "Picnic With the Trees."

There is a berachah that we can say only once a year, when we see two (or more) different species of fruit-bearing trees in bloom simultaneously.  This year's unexpectedly warm spring has caused us to accelerate the event: Join us on Sunday April 18th, from 12 noon to 2 pm, for a fun gathering, and a chance to say this berachah.  The event will also include a remembrance for Yom HaZikaron (Israeli Memorial Day).

chickensWe will come together in the yard of Sarah and Jordan Lee Wagner, at 202 Chapel Street in the Nonantum section of Newton, just a few blocks from the Shul.  The Shul will provide drinks and desserts for humans, and birdseed for kids to feed the chickens.  Hashem will provide the blooming trees and beautiful weather.  You bring a picnic lunch (and plenty of family and friends).

The event begins at noon.  Stay tuned for details about our guest speakers, who will teach about this mitzvah and trees. We'll have a lovely Spring celebration together; and we'll all get to say the berachah; and we'll finish with mincha at 2pm.

In case of bad weather, visit the shul's website to check on rescheduling.
